The first course in a three-course Mastercam series. Provides training on the use of Mastercam CAD/CAM software to design parts and toolpaths for a modern CNC (computer numerical control) vertical machining center. Consists of a series of exercises that progress from designing a two-dimensional part and creating a contour toolpath, to more advanced CNC mill applications. Emphasizes safety and efficient machining.

Career Technical Education (CTE) Course

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate common drafting and milling operations in Mastercam. Demonstrate hands-on skill working with 2D toolpaths. Demonstrate the skills necessary for advanced study of Mastercam surfaces and solids.
