This course considers skills and strategies to use when working with individuals and families in a variety of settings. Communication, collaboration and partnerships to foster family, individual and child success are emphasized.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Apply communication strategies that foster healthful interactions with individuals and families. Describe strategies to be used in specific settings such as home visits, parent-teacher conferences, or client assistance sessions. Identify community resources for individuals, children, and families.
