Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the implications of HIPAA as it applies to healthcare providers. Apply local, state and federal healthcare legislation appropriate to a medical practice. Differentiate between legal, ethical and moral issues affecting healthcare. Develop a plan for separation of personal and professional ethics. Demonstrate awareness of diversity in providing patient care. Examine the impact personal ethics and morals may have on the individual's practice.
