This course prepares Medical Assistant students to perform CLIA-waived tests in a physician's office laboratory using quality control and practicing safety precautions.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Perform CLIA waived tests. Distinguish between normal and abnormal test results. Discuss quality control issues related to handling microbiological specimens. Obtain specimens for microbiological testing.
