Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe how African literature, drawn from tribal, colonial, and post-colonial writers helps to understand the human condition. Interpret African literature through critical reading, writing, and discussion. Analyze narrative and poetic techniques and themes essential to African literature. Explain the importance of certain periods or development in African literature. Participate in activities that encourage personal awareness, growth, and/or creativity through the experience of English literature. Write and speak effectively about one's own and others' ideas.
