Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Discuss the EMS system and the citizen responder's role in the EMS system. Identify the signs and symptoms and care for breathing emergencies, heart attack, cardiac arrest, sudden illness, life threatening bleeding, shock and heat and cold emergencies. Demonstrate skills to care for soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries. Demonstrate the procedure for moving an injured victim in an emergency situation.
