Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Distinguish among the chemical, generic and trade names of drugs. Identify classifications of medications as well as their desired effects, side effects, and adverse reactions. Analyze the principles of anesthesia administration and explain the necessity of each component of anesthesia preparation of the surgical patient. Compare and contrast methods, agents, and techniques of anesthesia administration and preparation. Explain anesthesia complications and interventions.
