VT 103 Clinical Sciences
Students will obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to properly handle samples and learn methods of collection of urine, blood, and feces. Students will learn how to prepare common tests. Students will learn how to accurately maintain all laboratory records, results, and inventory of laboratory supplies.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Properly identify supplies needed for diagnostic sampling, methods of collection, proper handling of samples, common tests and preparation. Identify external parasites. Identify proper assisting techniques for necropsy procedures and handling of deceased animals. Describe handling techniques of a rabies suspect and samples. Describe and demonstrate maintenance of laboratory records, results, and inventory.
