Liberal Arts Core Requirements

The Liberal Arts Core requirements are a requirement of the College of Liberal Arts at Oregon State University. Transfer students in the following programs have this requirement: Art, Anthropology, Communication, Economics, English, History, Journalism and Mass Communications, Liberal Studies, Music, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Religious Studies, and World Language. A single course cannot count towards all three of the General Education, Liberal Arts Core, and major requirements. However, a single course can count towards two of them (e.g., both General Education and major). Credits fulfilling two requirements will only be counted once.

IV. Social Sciences (3 credits)

Select one course from the following:

V. Select one additional course (3 credits) from previous categories I-IV.

No credit may be used for more than one Liberal Arts Core requirement.
