Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the historical development of the juvenile corrections system. Describe the community resources that exist to manage the adjudicated juvenile offender. Describe the structure and operation of juvenile detention centers. Describe the work of juvenile counselors, juvenile probation officers, and youth detention center workers. Explain the major theories of juvenile rehabilitation.
