Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Analyze Asian literature through close, critical reading that focuses on plot, characterization, setting, symbolism, style, and theme. Examine how Asian literature reflects the historical, cultural, and aesthetic contexts in which it is created. Compare and contrast literary elements and contexts among different writers, ages, and cultures. Demonstrate how literature enhances personal awareness, empathy, and creativity.
