Offers supervised experience in newspaper page design, headline writing, computer pagination, digital imaging, photography, advertising and related newspaper production skills. Students apply skills in production lab for the college's student newspaper (The Commuter). May be repeated for up to six credits.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Apply journalism skills such as reporting, writing, editing and photography to create content for The Commuter and/or other publications and media. Apply values and media ethics to editorial decision making. Work an assigned number of hours applying journalism skills at The Commuter and/or another publication or media company. Demonstrate competence in one or more of the following, headline writing, proofing, photo editing, and pagination. Work an assigned number of hours applying advertising/public relations techniques and graphic design skills for The Commuter or another publication or media company.
