MP 105 Large Jazz Band
In conjunction with the Oregon State University Department of Music, provides an opportunity for participation in a jazz band. Note: Audition required. An unsuccessful audition will result in disenrollment. May be repeated three times for credit.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate an understanding of context in a varied repertoire of music through prepared and improvised jazz band performances appropriate for a first year jazz band member. Develop strategies to address technical and expressive challenges in a varied repertoire of jazz band music appropriate for a first year jazz band member. Read and perform music at a level appropriate for a first year jazz band member.
