Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Water conservation. Safety. Hydraulic principles. Soil plant water relationship. Irrigation scheduling is determined by evapotranspiration and soil water intake ability. How water pressure loss can be minimized most effectively along the system. How irrigation systems design can contribute to most efficient plant water use. How customers consideration may change an irrigation design. Students are able to correctly base line information including plant water requirements, available water pressure and flow rate. Students can identify and select appropriate irrigation system parts including valves, filters, pipes and water emitters. Students can correctly size irrigation pipe based system design. Students can determine efficient routing of irrigation pipe. Students can determine effective emitter placement.
