MA3. 398B Manufacturing Processes III
This lecture/lab course focuses on advanced machine tool operation. Determining machine tool selection, setup and planning for multi-tool projects will be covered. Shop math, including trigonometry and elementary algebra, will be used to make calculations. Students will complete a series of advanced machining projects.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Have a knowledge to manual and CNC machining procedures. Use Trigonometry to solve math problems. Use Algebra to simplify mathematical expressions and solve equations. Have a knowledge of the machining characteristics of various metals. Understand heat treating objectives and procedures. Be familiar with both manual and basic CNC machining procedures.
