Prepares students to use an expanded medical vocabulary to communicate with health care professionals. Learn to recognize the structure and function of the human body, basic pathology and diagnostic tools.
Prerequisite
Prerequisite: MO 5.630 Medical Terminology and Body Systems I with a grade of C or better.
Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Have a working knowledge of the human body, its structure, and function. Build medical vocabulary related to anatomy and physiology. Correctly define medical terms contained with the text. Pronounce medical words correctly. Understand and use standard medical abbreviations. Spell medical words correctly. Use pharmacological reference materials. Spell pharmaceutical words from selected list of drugs.
