NUR 268C Drug Therapy & Nursing Implications

This one-credit course focuses on nursing management and critical thinking pertaining to medication therapy. Drug classifications and prototype drugs will be studied. This class will focus on therapeutic uses, drug actions, adverse reactions, drug interactions, and nursing implications for the following drug groups which are applicable to the content provided In NUR 103.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Teach patients to safely take drugs within the pharmaceutical classifications covered in this course. Safety administer and evaluate the effectiveness of the pharmaceutical classifications covered in this course. Identifies appropriate health promotion education related in the medications studied. Student will be able to accurately interpret medication orders.
