VT8. 615 Clinical Sciences
Helps students develop the knowledge and skills to perform clinical tasks relevant to veterinary clinics. Both in the classroom and the laboratory, students perform clinical procedures such as intravenous catheterization, urinalysis, diagnostic cytology and complete blood counts.
Prerequisite
Required: High School Diploma or GED; transportation back and forth to clinical sites.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Perform intravenous catheterization. Understand and perform phlebotomy techniques for large and small animals. Complete diagnostic cytology and blood counts. Identify clinical procedures.
