AT 164 Schooling The Horse II
Provides hands-on horse training experience. The student learns the fundamentals of horse training, including advanced arena and trail work. Equipment, safety and horse psychology also are taught.

Prerequisite: AT 163 Schooling the Horse I with a grade of C or better

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Model correct lateral movement on the horse. Model correct transitions on the horse. Handle the horse safely on the ground in a variety of scripted and unscripted situations. Employ course strategies to compete successfully with the horse at outside events.
