PFW 171 Intermediate Pipe Fitting
Covers fundamentals of pipe fitting and building pipe runs. Introduces basic procedures in planning, sketching, layout, and threading of pipe.
Prerequisite
PFW 170 with a grade of C or better.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Use pipe threading equipment and pipe cutting equipment safely. Demonstrate knowledge of piping takeoffs and how they influence pipe runs. Employ pipe drawings in the piping process. Perform layout operations. Identify pipe fittings, both threaded and welded, and how they are utilized. Produce a project from blueprint to completion.
