MUS 133 Group Piano III
A continuation of MUS 132 Group Piano II, provides beginning group instruction in piano skills designed for music majors and non-music majors. Includes instruction in playing forms, scales, and extended five-finger positions.
Prerequisite
Student must complete MUS 132 with a C or higher, or instructor approval
Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

Play all major scales using proper fingering.

Play simple pieces using various accompaniment patterns.

Use direct pedaling technique with damper pedal.

Learn and play pieces in extended 5-finger positions.

Identify AB and ABA forms and play pieces in these forms.
