APR 121 Intro to Limited Energy Trade
This is the first term of coursework designed for apprentices studying to become Limited Energy Technicians. Topics covered this term include an introduction to the limited energy trade, job site and tool safety, low-voltage cabling, craft-related mathematics, and conduit bending. Industry codes, standards and agencies will also be discussed.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the role of an Limited Energy Technician LET in industry. Identify common tools used in the trade. Describe the importance of codes and standards and explain how they affect the work of the LET technician. Demonstrate explain safe working procedures and practices. Identify describe wire and cable types commonly used in the Limited Energy trade and discuss their proper use and application. Demonstrate proficiency in basic shop math including conversions, trigonometry and simple algebra.
