AREC 221 Marketing in Agriculture
Covers all aspects of sales and marketing of agricultural products, including fruits and vegetables, cereal grains, milk and dairy products, commercial and purebred livestock. The commodities futures market and other specialized outlets also are included.

Understand the interrelationship between producers, middleman and consumers. Identify grades and classifications of grain, milk, livestock, fruits and vegetables. understand how vertical integration can increase the farmers share. Explain how cooperatives can increase the marketing power of producers. Understand how the futures market can be utilized as a market tool.
