CS 279 Network Management

Through the use of lectures, reading and hands-on practice, students learn to administer a Network Operating System and its interactions with endpoint client devices. Topics include router/firewall setup, networking applications, the Domain Name System, network file systems and the adminstration of virtual machines.

Prerequisite: CIS 125 Introduction to Software Applications, CIS 151 Networking Essentials, CS 140U Fundamentals of UNIXŒ¬/ LinuxŒ¬, all with a grade of C or better.
