Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Describe the developmental trajectories of children in terms of physical, cognitive, social and emotional development. Evaluate the developmental stages of individuals children. Use child development concepts to support and nurture childrens growth and development. Describe theories and concepts of child development including Piagets cognitive theory and Eriksons psychosocial theory. Develop response to childrens behaviors based on theoretical perspectives. Relate course materials current research, issues and practical implications.
