MTH 212 Fund of Elementary Math II
One of three courses in the mathematics cluster for prospective elementary and middle school teachers. Develops the understanding of basic mathematical concepts necessary for teaching mathematics in grades K-8. Topics include decimals, percent, ratio and proportion, integers, real numbers, basic statistics and probability.

MTH 211 Fundamentals of Elementary Mathematics I with a grade of C or better.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Solve mathematical problems with confidence, persistence, and openness to alternative approaches. Use malipulacties to solve problems and explain mathematical concepts. Represent numbers and solve problems using decimals, percent, integers, and real numbers. solve problems using radio and proportion, equations and manipulative. Use graphs and statistics to organize and picture information. Use basic probability to solve problems. Communicate mathematical concepts and algorithms in a variety of ways written, verbal, and by demonstration.
