Introduces webpage design using industry standard software for the development of HTML based web sites. Explores site definition, page layout, graphic creation and optimization, and implementation of websites.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Evaluate web design quality based on core principles of usability, aesthetics, accessibility, and responsiveness. Plan and develop web design projects using pre-coding techniques such as research and wireframing. Design and implement websites using modern HTML and CSS techniques, including the use of media queries, CSS Grid, Flexbox, and external stylesheets. Collaborate effectively in teams to redesign existing websites and critique peer projects. Effectively use industry-standard tools for web design, including Adobe XD, Dreamweaver, Figma, and browser developer tools.
