AUT 643 Customer Service for Auto Tech
Focuses on the communication, customer relations, and employability skills essential to success in the automotive service industry. Students learn to apply a structured troubleshooting and problem-solving process that integrates technical reasoning with professional customer interaction. Emphasis is placed on ethical service practices, intercultural communication, clear explanation of repair findings and options, and supporting customer satisfaction and energy-efficient solutions. The course also develops career readiness skills including job search strategies, résumé and application preparation, and interview techniques. Required: Concurrent enrollment with AUT 316 Maintenance & Light Repair or AUT 317 Electrical Sys & Engine Performance.
Prerequisite
AUT 317 Electrical Systems & Engine Performance or
AUT 316 Maintenance & Light Repair with a grade of C or better (may be taken concurrently).
