MP 282 Individual Lessons Tuba/Euphonium

For the intermediate player, facilitates the student's general music background and addresses their skill level on the tuba/euphonium. Gives attention to the individual's goals in learning to play the tuba/euphonium and any interest they may have in learning to play particular styles of tuba/euphonium music. Note: Requires additional tutorial fee. Students must contact the instructor to set up individual lesson times. May be repeated for a maximum of 6 credits.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Read and play tuba/euphonium repertoire appropriate for an intermediate tuba/euphonium player. Demonstrate and play with correct posture. Play with appropriate hand position and technique for an intermediate tuba/euphonium player. Apply basic music theory to performance appropriate for an intermediate tuba/euphonium player. Perform with appropriate level of music expression for an intermediate tuba/euphonium player.
