AUT 295 Manual Drivetrain & Axles

Covers the diagnosis and service of manual drivetrain and axle systems used in modern vehicles. Students learn to identify system components, diagnose operational concerns, inspect and measure components, and perform service and verification procedures on clutch systems, manual transmissions and transaxles, differentials, and drive axles and propeller shafts. Emphasis is placed on the use of manufacturer service information, precision measuring tools, and safe work practices while performing disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly operations. The course builds upon foundational automotive repair skills developed in first-year coursework.
