ENGR 213 Strength Of Material

Covers the analysis of simple stress and strain, pressure vessels, torsion, shear and moment, shear and normal stresses in beams, deflection, column analysis, and analysis of statically indeterminant structures. Recommended: Working knowledge of spreadsheets and/or MatLab.

Outcomes

Perform basic analyses of stress, strain, deflection, and statically indeterminant structures. Analyze biaxial stress and strain. Perform beam shear and moment, bending stress, shear stress, and deflection analysis. Analyze torsion
