NUR 412 Issues and Trends in Professional Nursing
Issues and Trends in Professional Nursing analyzes the impact of economic, demographic, and technological forces on healthcare delivery and the concerns relating to ethical, legal, and social issues that influence nursing practice. A historical background gives perspective to current nursing problems, and future trends regarding their impact on roles and practice. Issues currently impacting professional nursing are examined. The potential transformation of nursing practice in response to societal changes will be explored, as well as the new opportunities these challenges have for career development. Required: Acceptance to the Nursing, Bachelor of Science program.

NUR 410 Informatics in Healthcare with a grade of C or better.

Demonstrate effective communication and research skills when debating current and future healthcare issues and trends.
