HE 205 Diet & Nutrition for Active Lifestyles
Students will take an in-depth look at their individual diet. Students will have the opportunity to analyze their current diet and prepare modifications that would improve it. Development of a diet that can improve physical performance and health will be emphasized. Students must be willing to use (not necessarily own) a computer for some class activities.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Students will be able to use basic nutrition terminology. Students will recognize their nutrient needs before, during and after physical activity. Students will demonstrate the link between basic nutrients and performance. Students will develop a diet plan based on sound nutritional principles and personal preferences.
