Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate understanding of the communication process and the different models of communication. Demonstrate understanding of the different types of nonverbal communication and effective listening and how they affect overall communication. Effectively navigate cultural diversity, conflict, and relationships in coding and billing. Demonstrate how to overcome communication obstacles. Demonstrate how to communicate with providers and other medical staff. Demonstrate understanding of how to navigate through the interview and employment process- from resume to landing the job.
