MTOL 214 CNC IV: Machining Strategies
Provides training and learning experiences in Computer Numeric Control (CNC) technology. Includes training on CNC operation skills that are applicable to a number different of CNC machines and controls. Focuses on safe operator skills and machine setup procedures in a milling environment.
Prerequisite
MTOL 111 CNC I: MILL and
MTOL 112 CNC II: LATHE with a grade of C or better.

Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Demonstrate good CNC machine operator skills. Read, write, and edit G&M machine code. Set WCS (Work Coordinate System) offsets. Set tooling offsets. Perform a dry run. Follow setup sheet instructions.
