MTOL 111 CNC I: Mill

Provides training in the operation and part programming of CNC Mills. Students learn safe manufacturing methods by completing a series of assignments and skills tests on CNC Mills. Students will gain experience reading, writing and editing part programs using industry standard G&M code programming. Required: Basic computer competency.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Set up and operate a CNC Mill. Read, write and edit G&M code for 3 Axis milling. Plan a logical order of operations and tool changes. Balance cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut for efficient machining.
