MUS 133 Group Piano III

A continuation of MUS 132 Group Piano II, provides beginning group instruction in piano skills designed for music majors and non-music majors. Includes instruction in playing forms, scales, and extended five-finger positions.

Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
Perform all major and minor scales (one octave, hands separate). Perform all I-IV-I-V7-I and i-iv-i-V7-i progressions with legato pedaling. Perform simple pieces using various accompaniment patterns. Identify and perform lead sheets. Identify and perform pieces in extended 5-finger positions.
