MUS 190 Introduction to Music Therapy
An overview of the history, theories, and current practice of music therapy in various clinical settings and to the many populations served by the discipline. This course includes field observations and is open to all students and professions interested in learning more about the field.

Demonstrate a clear understanding of the music therapy profession via class materials and observations. Identify and articulate a variety of music therapy modalities and techniques. Identify the uses of music in therapy and general therapeutic goals for various settings and populations.
